Maju de Paiva

Maju de Paiva is a director and screenwriter of the short movies “Small Animals Without Owner” (2015) and “Carnation, Lily, Rose” (2018), winner of public calls from SECEC-RJ and exhibited and awarded in festivals such as Ficunam, FESTin, Kinoproba, Kinoforum, Festival de Tiradentes, Curta Cinema and Mostra Sesc de Cinema In 2017 “Small Animals Without Owner” was broadcasted on the shows Curta na Tela and Pausa pro Café, in Canal Brasil. Her feature film project, Seaside Avenue, won the category Best Feature Film Screenplay in Frapa, runner-up on Prêmio Cabíria, and was chosen by Lab. Novas Histórias in 2018. In 2020 was awarded the Selo Elas Cabíria, becoming a co-production with Elo Company. In 2021 the project was selected for a workshop in Produire au Sud (France). The movie was sponsored by Telecine and is expected to be released in September 2023. Her second feature film screenplay “Fire Diary”, written with Bernardo Florim, was selected by RioFilme 2021 public call and will be filmed in 2022.

Bernardo Florim

With a bachelor in Cinema (UFF) and a masters in Creative Media (ECO – UFRJ), Bernardo Florim wrote the feature films “Mission 115” (Festival É Tudo Verdade), Nelson Pereira dos Santos: a cinematic life (Canal Brasil and Globo Filmes), Zé Kéti: I am Samba (CineBrasil TV), Euclydes Pinto Martins (CineBrasil TV), Tragic (Festival de Tiradentes) and the series “Where the Beauty Is” (Canal Curta).  His fiction projects won national and international awards. Seaside Avenue was voted Best Screenplay in FRAPA, won Selo Elas Cabíria, and Cabíria award, being selected by Lab. Novas Histórias SESC/SENAC and by Produire au Sud, renowned workshop on Festival des 3 Continents (Nantes). The project is a co-production between Telecine, Elo Company and Viralata Produções. Night Animals was selected for Brazil Cinemundi and is distributed by O2 Filmes. Fire Diary was sponsored by Riofilme.
